GT Road, Road into Pakistan

with 2 comments

Crossing the border from India into Pakistan was a strange but interesting experience. Right after the border customs, the Grand Trunk Road (GT Road) leads to Lahore, the second biggest city of Pakistan. Normally roads near borders are kind of deserted, but GT Road was one huge busy street, all the way to lahore for about 20km. A kind of chaotic street scene, completely different then on the other side of the border in India. So on my way back to India I got out of the bus somewhere on GT road just to make some photos of this apart street life. Finally I ended up staying at a family’s home because there weren’t any hotels on this road. One great last night in Pakistan.
