It’s in her eyes

with 7 comments

When I was traveling in Pakistan, I wrote my stories on my travel blog. One of the things I told, was about this girl that was begging, who had the most beautiful eyes. So I gave her a bag of fruits I just bought, and so I could make this picture of her. Also one of the very scarce photos I could make of women in Pakistan.

I also wrote on my blog it reminded me of the world famous picture of National Geographic by photographer Steve Curry of the Afghan Girl. Of course my picture isn’t comparable in any way to this amazing portrait of Steve Curry, but it’s just the light eyes that reminded me of it.

FYI: it’s said to be Alexander the Great’s army troups would be the cause of some people having blue or green eyes in this part of the world, a Persian influence. It seems not all soldiers have been faithful to their woman back home 🙂
